Capture One is up to half price this Black Friday: ends November 28

November 24, 2022 by Rod Lawton

Capture One is one of the most expensive photo editing applications on the market, and in my opinion the professional quality, tools and results it offers are well worth the cost. But this Black Friday, right up until 11:59pm November 28 CET (Central European Time, so that’s 10:59pm GMT and 05:59 Eastern Time), the whole Capture One product range is up to half price.

  • Get the latest Capture One Black Friday deals: up to 50% off until November 28

Capture One 23, which would normally sell at £299 for a perpetual license (UK currency) is down 40%. to just £179, whereas an annual subscription (paid annually) is also down 40% from £179 to £108.

Bear in mind that a ‘perpetual’ license has a finite life expectancy because Capture One operates an annual upgrade cycle. Also, the 40% reduction on a subscription is for the first year only. For more advice, see Subscriptions vs single fee software: the pros and cons.

You can save even more if you go for a Capture One + Styles bundle. Capture One Styles are a step above the deluge of Lightroom presets out there on the Internet and definitely worth considering. The Black Friday offer includes 20 Styles selected from the following groups:

  • Nordic Lifestyle Styles: Achieve fresh, modern looks with Styles inspired by Nordic natural light and beauty. Includes 2 Styles in 3 contrast variations to suit all kinds of settings.”
  • Nordic Editorial Styles: “Create contemporary photos inspired by Scandinavian editorial looks. Includes 2 style in 3 contrast variations to work with all kinds of images.”
  • Beyond Film: “Bring analog looks to any photo with Styles inspired by Fujifilm and Kodak film stocks. Includes 4 Styles in 3 contrast variations – plus 8 Grain Presets for more creative options.”
  • Beyond B&W: “Add a dramatic, classic touch to any subject or setting with versatile black and white Styles that retain detail like never before. Includes 5 styles in 3 contrast variations – plus 8 Grain Presets for a classic feel.”
  • Latitude | Infinite Peaks by Bryan Minear: “Inspired by the favorite far-flung destinations of pro photographers, this Latitude Pack lets you recreate Bryan Minear’s trademark rich tones and high contrast in just a few clicks. Includes 7 Styles.”

The Capture One + Styles bundle is 50% off for both perpetual license and subscription buyers. A perpetual license is down from £484 to £242, while the Capture One + Styles annual subscription is down from £364 to £182.

Capture One Styles packs are pretty expensive but I’ve found them to be very good, but there are no trial versions so I’m currently considering running standalone reviews.
