06 Album stacks
You can see the new album in the sidebar (‘Black and white’) and that Aperture has copied across the whole stack of images, not just the black and white one.
But if you take a closer look at the stack of images, you’ll see the black and white shot has a special ‘tick’ icon at the top. This indicates that although the key image for the stack hasn’t changed overall, the black and white shot is the key image for that specific album.
07 Closing the stack
If you close the stack (remember, click the number on the key image), it collapses to show the black and white picture as the key shot – but only for that album.
08 Example 2
I’ll run through that again, just in case it’s not clear. I’ve clicked back on the project to show my stack of photos, and this time I’ve selected the last version and created a new album called ‘Tilt-shift’.
